Chronicling and reviewing show's I've attended, taped, traded, or discussing projects remastering audio and video of said shows. I trade live recordings of hard rock and metal, and focus mostly on the bands Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Chevelle, Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Temple Pilots, etc. This is just a blog, so no downloads are hosted here. This liberated boot is probably one of the best Rage recordings out there.. I lost this one not too long ago when my dog decided do chew through a couple of my data disks that I had left laying around on the floor in their sleeves next to the computer. Lesson learned. Thankfully I tracked it down as someone posted it on guitars101, so a small victory in that I was able to reclaim it. Now, the other 10 or 15 shows that went down the drain with it... Not so lucky.

Got this bootleg in MINT condition from Ebay and ripped it myself. This is, in my humble opinion, one of the BEST Rage Against The Machine bootlegs ever recorded. Zack's spoken word during Wake Up is breathtaking as is his speech at the end of Hadda Be Playin' On The Jukebox (improperly named J.F.K. on the album) Hope you enjoy it as much as I do
I came across someone asking about this show on reddit the other day, so started doing some digging in my archive. This show is significant as it was Layne's last performance with the band. I had a cdr/flac copy of this show, but the sound quality was lacking as it sounded like it was sourced from a high gen cassette. After checking db.etree.org, apparently there was only a hi-8 analog video source of this show, and my cdr must have been sourced from a high gen copy. After discovering it was a video source though, the next place I looked was my DVD collection and found I had it. My info file claims it's sourced from the master. Thus, I ripped the audio, gave it a little EQ in audacity and adjusted the levels and tracked it in CD Wave. EDIT: It has been brought to my attention this source does not pass the test for "lossless" quality, as the Hi-8 to DVD conversion used a lossy compression to encode the audio. It is still the best out there, however.

UPDATE: Apparently there is more than one video source for this show. There is a second youtube video that is from a slightly different angle. Sound quality is about the same. Interesting.
This is a great quality westwood one recording that was rebroadcast and captured pre-FM. This took me a while to find in a lossless version, but here it is in all it's glory.

For a long time the Diary of a Lovesong track from this boot had a steady rotation on my mp3 player even though I had no idea where I downloaded it or what show it came from. Since the quality was good, I eventually dedicated some time to tracking down which date it was from, as well as a lossless source of said entire show. The fruits of that labor are here for your download below.
